Wow!.. That makes you like a perfect observer! You're outside anyway, why not try those asteroid occultations! Derek PS.. I am dismantling my setup today so I can take the ST80 / Mintron with me for a week in Porterville, CA starting Tuesday night.. Hopefully I can get some high precision points on X37.. -----Original Message----- From: seesat-l-bounces+breit_ideas=poyntsource.com@satobs.org [mailto:seesat-l-bounces+breit_ideas=poyntsource.com@satobs.org] On Behalf Of Brad Young Sent: Sunday, May 23, 2010 10:26 AM To: seesat-l@satobs.org Subject: BY Classfd May 23 X-37B and Insomnia Typical spring night - no set up due to clouds. They cleared; saw a few LEOs and variables. Now it was late enough to set up scope for asteroid occultation [(1741) Giclas Derek, and it was negative here]. So, since I've set up, might as well look for highfly objects. Tried for: 13637 23468 20205 90040 36108 27785 with no luck (city skies?) and finally got 28546 = nice and easy and variable just as clouds poured in! I put the scope up and noticed the clear skies afterwards. I lay down for an hour and went out to see X-37B in gaps in the fast moving low cloud. Its position should be ok, despite the terrible conditions. Very easy and bright. 27698 03 009A 8336 F 20100523040337150 17 25 2203833+640150 58 S 36105 09 066B 8336 F 20100523040630730 17 25 1516736+714936 18 S 36105 09 066B 8336 F 20100523040744150 17 25 0243910+812663 48 S 28888 05 042A 8336 F 20100523040832340 17 25 1047009+231800 58 S 28888 05 042A 8336 F 20100523040848130 17 25 1027245+294150 48 S 28888 05 042A 8336 F 20100523040902510 17 25 1007107+351178 18 S 28646 05 016A 8336 F 20100523041457510 17 25 1046260+571394 18 S 21147 91 017A 8336 F 20100523044802280 17 25 2128402+703058 38 S 26473 00 047A 8336 F 20100523053209400 17 25 0210780+813171 87 S 26473 00 047A 8336 F 20100523053222190 17 25 0041066+823699 48 S 26473 00 047A 8336 F 20100523053238340 17 25 2229612+814355 38 S 28546 04 050B 8336 B 20100523080853340 18 25 1546505+074101 47 R 28546 04 050B 8336 B 20100523081035760 18 25 1548633+074140 37 R 36514 10 015A 8336 T 20100523100527340 17 25 1817285+110634 28 S+025 10 TULSA1: COSPAR 8336 +36.1397, -95.9838, 201m _______________________________________________ Seesat-l mailing list http://mailman.satobs.org/mailman/listinfo/seesat-l _______________________________________________ Seesat-l mailing list http://mailman.satobs.org/mailman/listinfo/seesat-l
