The sky cleared unexpectedly mid-evening, but there was a lot of mist lit by the Moon high in the S. 97-68B (USA 136 r) was visible at mag x100, mainly because of its characteristic variation, and reference stars were visible to mag +11. I turned the telescope at x40 on 96-72A at 14 deg el in the N, and managed to get two fairly good positions. David.
