With Iridium 85 tum #25529 98066C due to make a high elevation pass, 82 deg, i went out and looked for it. It became visible at 1x once again and i was ready to time some flashes but there were several little glints during it's ascent, too many to keep track of so i just watched it. However at 02:19:13 8 Oct UTC +/- 3 sec, about 10 deg NE of Deneb there was horizontal flash like this /. I don't know if it was an optical illusion or not but that's what i saw, a slash about 1 or 1.5 deg long with a slight orange tint to it and maybe a mag 3 or 4. It wasn't very bright but it was noticeable and it 'pointed' NW to SE if that helps any. I don't remember seeing Ir 85 when the slash flash occured. It sure was a surprise to see it and it didn't have my camera set up either since i figured it would be just another ordinary 1x pass by Ir 85 tum. :( Iridium 85 tum 4.0 1.8 0.0 6.0 d 9.3 1 25529U 98066C 00279.51238121 .00127199 00000-0 19162-2 0 6608 2 25529 86.0030 298.5365 0007612 129.6286 230.5874 15.54333050106544 Jari 54.25N 110.11W 556m ----------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe from SeeSat-L by sending a message with 'unsubscribe' in the SUBJECT to SeeSat-L-request@lists.satellite.eu.org http://www2.satellite.eu.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
