    Ir 85 T, visible naked eye on ascencion from south near mag 1.0 dimmed
    considerably on descent in the North. Flashes, times noted below, near -1.0
    then dimming to 2.0.  Started flashing as it approached zenith just below
    vega.  Lost sight of it, again viewing naked eye, at 30 degrees elev. in
    the north.

    distinct maxes, however they dimished and the object appeared steady as it
    neared culmination.  I had started a second timing, (the one above being
    on ascencion from 35 degrees elev), counting maxes for one minute but at
    35 secs they were indiscernable from the regular magnitude around 3.0.
