Yes, I think other lucky observers already stated such flares, and I observed one occurence of this, on July 11th, 2002. The observation point was in south-west of France. I posted the following text (not on SeeSat) : << - The USA 160 brothers did a very strong flare between 22:26:30 and 22:27:00 utc. Difficult to estimate but surely m < -3.
