My first geosync ever! and it's a flasher! And there isn't anything in satobs about it that I can find other than from august of 2003. I've been waiting for 2 damn weeks for the clouds to clear so I can see a geosync and finally tonight is clear and the damn moon is somewhat in the way. Anyway, searching along approx -5 declination with 7x50s I spotted a bright flasher to about mag 4. I got a position and time and it has to be 80004A / 11669. It's been flashing for 20 minutes with no end in sight. Sorry I don't have timings as I just don't have the right equipment and it seems irregular for this object. obs at 01:07:00 UT 10/27/2004 (actually 9:06-9:14pm EST on 10/26 local) If someone else can spot this around 1:00:00 UT let me know and we can do multiple simultaneous measurements and see which direction it is spinning and such. - George Roberts 42.3N 71.3W ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Frequently Asked Questions, SeeSat-L archive: http://www.satobs.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
