Observations Oct 24, 2015 --------------------------------------------- Cosatrak 1 (Computerised satellite Tracking System). FLI ML8300M CCD camera with mechanical shutter + Trimble GPS Used with 135mm focal length lens. Field of view 7.63 x 5.74 degrees. Image scale 28.0 arc sec/pixel. Images processed and measured manually as too much cloud for APEX. Site 0433 : Longitude 18.51294 deg East, Latitude -33.94058 deg, Elevation 10 metres-situated in Pinelands (Cape Town),South Africa UNKNOWN? ------------------------ 00001 99 999A 0433 P 20151024175214190 55 15 0020306+003345 39 00001 99 999A 0433 P 20151024175220244 55 15 0027565-013803 39 00001 99 999A 0433 P 20151024175224299 55 15 0033104-030714 39 00001 99 999A 0433 P 20151024175227599 55 15 0037038-041737 39 NOTES: ------ Attempted plane scan for OTV4 but conditions impossible - thick cloud/mist so seldom saw any stars. However managed to get a few gaps as a satellite passed through the field of view. I had hopes that it was OTV4 but the orbit from the observations indicate it cannot be unless I made a mistake as I get an inclination of around 64.5 degrees, so cannot be OTV4. Will try again tomorrow night but weather here is a total disaster for any observing. I do not find a match for this object, about magnitude +4 steady Cheers Greg _______________________________________________ Seesat-l mailing list http://mailman.satobs.org/mailman/listinfo/seesat-lReceived on Sat Oct 24 2015 - 15:18:02 UTC
