Site 0435 Pinelands (Cape Town,South Africa)

18.5101 degrees east 33.9368 degrees south height 25.5 metres

ZWO ASI 174MM cmos camera with telephoto lens set at about 80mm focal length
and aperture f/2.8. Field of view 7.74 by 4.86 degrees, 2x binning and
image scale 28.8 arcsec/pixel.

Timing provided by Dimension 4 and Network Time Synchronization (NTP) and
hopefully good to 0.1 seconds.

FITS images reduced in ALLSKY PLATE SOLVER to provide plate solution and
used to determine coordinates from trails produced during exposures. This
is quicker than using NOVA.ASTROMETRY.NET and SAO DS9 for the astrometry

ASICAP used to produce FITS files. So far appears to be the best program
for
capturing as best control over how image appears. However there MAY be a
problem with the capturing of the time in that the time of start of exposure
appears to actually be time of end of exposure(?) so times will be in
error by
duration of exposure. I have corrected the observations below for this but
I
may be wrong in my logic so far. Another program used for FITS imaging
capturing
works okay so there may be something unusual about ASICAP's handling of
time.
Still under investigation....

NOTES:
------------
Some strays measuring that have SPACECOM elements and "time error" from
camera applied to these objects so could help define whether there is in
fact an error. I am slightly confused at the moment !!!!

Cheers
Greg
