Hi All Last night I came across a mysterious emission on ~2251.0MHz. After studying it for awhile it was clear it was in a geostationary orbit at about 146W. The modulation of the satellite's signal appears similar to Chinese missions I have seen in the past. No obvious clue for the origin of this emission as this area of sky is void of many emitters. An observer in California just confirmed the emission. I tried visual observations last night but was foiled by the bright Moon. Wondering if anyone out there can help track down this emitter visually? This TLE very roughly describes it's position. 1 99999U 20305.52721350 .00000000 00000-0 00000-0 0 03 2 99999 0.5000 139.5000 0000000 358.0717 307.3644 1.00270000 08 # 20201031.29-20201031.77, 41596 measurements, 0.229 kHz rms Details of the radio observations can be found here: https://twitter.com/coastal8049/status/1322338460863090688 Regards, Scott Tilley ROBERTS CREEK 1: 8049 ST 49.4348 -123.6685 40.
