Hi, Many thanks for the info..suspicions confirmed. As a matter of interest how many RORSAT reactors are still in orbit? I have read that they were ejected from the RORSATs into a higher orbit at the end of their lives. I assume therefore that they must have their own catelogue number? What is their average size? Are they visible to "amateurs"? pj Sheffield UK 53.38N 1.46W +220M ----- Original Message ----- From: Phillip Clark <psclark@dircon.co.uk> To: Paul Henney <paul.j.henney@btinternet.com> Cc: <Seesat-L@blackadder.lmsal.com> Sent: 23 September 2000 17:20 Subject: Re: C 1579 Coolant > On Sat, 23 Sep 2000, Paul Henney wrote: > > I've just downloaded the latest thirty.zip from Mike M's site and run it > > using satspy..it shows several references to Cosmos 1579 coolant. > > Could someone enlighten me as to what this is and what it would/will/may > > look like? > > These objects are coolant which has been leaking from the nuclear power > units carried by the RORSATs.
