Hello Jeffrey and list, Just got back home. Starshine 3 is an aluminum ball painted in black to keep the interior warm enough for the electronics. If there is no direct reflection from the sun through the mirrors, it should be too faint for binoculars. Starshine 1 was observed to be around mag. 8 or 9 when not flashing. Space weather (proton flux from the sun) is currently no go for launch at 01:30 UT but should turn GO at around 02:00.
