GSTAR 1's (85-035A, 15677) flash period is accelerating significantly; here are two PPAS reports just 10 nights apart: 85- 35 A 03-08-23 04:36:34.5 EC 599.4 0.2 11 54.49 +3.5->inv 85- 35 A 03-09-02 03:02:33.3 EC 664.4 0.2 12 55.36 +3.5->inv On both occasions with 10x50 binoculars at first I saw half- period flashes. It's about nine minutes earlier each night. I happened to catch four flashes of Insat 2D (97-027B, 24820); PPAS: 97- 27 B 03-09-02 03:26:24.9 EC 247.3 0.3 4 61.8 +5.5->inv I hope to get a longer view in the next few nights. It drifts fairly rapidly west to east and will be in view of Europe in a week or so. Orion 3 (99-024A, 25727) has been doing at least a couple of very bright (-1 or -2) flashes on almost every pass recently. Maybe in a couple of weeks after the Moon gets out of the way, I'll get to see Milstar 6 during the beginning of our flaring geosat season. I think Kevin has a darker site than BCRC.
